Ink

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Halfway through the week...nearly there! I am particularly excited about this coming weekend as I have something very special planned. This weekend is London's 6th International Tattoo Convention and guess who is going along to hopefully get her first ever tattoo done?! Yep, you guessed it.

It's something I've wanted to get done for SO LONG (since I was about 14) but thankfully I have always had a fairly sensible head on and thought I would wait until I am in my twenties and have a clearer mind about whether or not I want to brand my body for the rest of my life. Well here I am, 23 and I can say with confidence that having thought about it until I'm blue in the face, I do want to get tattooed, and I'm gonna!! I didn't just want to go to any old Joe Schmoe with a needle and a pot of ink, because I see tattoos as an art form. So I wanted to go to somebody who is a true artist, and whose artwork I admire and respect.

Luckily for me, tattooing is everywhere right now, and shows such as Miami Ink have really opened up my eyes to the possibilities which are out there. It also introduced me to some of the best artwork I have ever seen, and one artist whose work really caught my eye was that of Tim Hendricks . I never in a million years dreamed that I would be able to get to Miami to have a tattoo done, so I was over the moon when I found out that he comes to London to work the convention! Due to the fact he is such an amazing tattoo artist, this guy is in HUGE demand this weekend, and he works on a first come, first served basis so I'm going to have to get there EARLY and wait my turn to try and get some work done by him. But I'm prepared to wait, and I just hope that I am one of the lucky ones!!

It's all happening this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday...so wish me luck!!
